Motorcyclist Killed, Dirt Biker Seriously Injured In Garden State Parkway Crash (Update)
A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed and a 49-year-old dirt bike operator was seriously injured in a crash Sunday, Sept. 8 on the Garden State Parkway in Toms River, authorities said.
Antonio Caprara, 26, of Beachwood, was heading south on the right shoulder while Lenny Ritorto, of Toms River, was heading south on the acceleration lane from the Exit 81 entrance ramp when the two collided near milepost 81.7 around 1 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.

Aman who was allegedly asleep behind the wheel of his car on a roadway in the Hudson Valley woke up when police arrived, crashed into numerous vehicles, and attempted to flee, injuring several people.
The incident occurred in Rockland County in Spring Valley at 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

A 21-year-old Bucks County man died nine days after being struck by a falling tree branch when he was removing a tree, authorities said.
Jesse Owens of East Rockhill Township was pronounced dead on Sunday, Aug. 11 at about 3 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.
The cause of death is complications of blunt force trauma to the head, the coroner said.
The accident occurred on Friday, Aug. 2, at about 1 p.m. in the 80 Block of Ridge Run Road, East Rockhill Township, the coroner said.

Person 'Clinging To Rock' In Potomac River Rescued In Montgomery County
Multiple agencies worked together on Wednesday morning to rescue a person who found themselves in a perilous position in the Potomac River.
Early on Aug. 7, US Park Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel teamed up to make a water rescue after a swimmer got stuck.
