Ephrata Man Fires Gun Into Occupied Home, Threatens To Kill People Inside: Police
A Pennsylvania man fired two shots from a handgun inside a home with several people inside before threatening to kill them during an altercation outside, police said.
Ephrata police responded to the 1200 block of Marie Avenue at 5:51 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, on a report of shots fired, according to the department.
Witnesses told officers that Dylan Randall Leisey, 23, of Ephrata, fired two rounds from a handgun while multiple people were inside the home, police said.
The occupants were able to safely secure the gun before everyone left the home, authorities said.

Cops Shoot Dog During Attack On Family In Sayreville, Prosecutor Says
Three family members were hospitalized after being attacked by their dog in Central Jersey, authorities said.
Sayreville police received a 911 distress call at 7:22 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, from a man who said his girlfriend, mother, and stepfather were being attacked by the dog, Middlesex County Prosecutor Linda Estremera said.
Officers arriving at the scene shot the dog to stop the attack, Estremera said.
The three family members were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in stable condition, where they were being treated for their injuries, authorities said.

A 51-year-old Hackensack man was critically injured after being struck by a pickup truck overnight, authorities said.
Officers responded to Central Avenue and Second Street in Hackensack around 12:41 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, on a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, Deputy Police Chief Gregory Zisa said. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries to his head, hip, and torso area, Zisa said.

T.W. Howells, located at 341 W. White Horse Pike in Pomona, announced it will permanently close at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, according to a notice posted by the restaurant.

Malgorzata “Gosia” Agnieszka Doktor, 50, died peacefully at her Mount Bethel, PA, home on Tuesday, Sept. 22, surrounded by her family, according to her obituary on the Kamienski Funeral Home website.
