Police investigators in Suffolk Country have released photos as they attempt to track down a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run in East Patchogue last month. Bellport resident Alexis Velasquez, 30, was riding his bicycle on Montauk Highway near Gazzola Drive at approximately 4:30 a.m. on April 28 when he was struck by an SUV that proceeded to speed away from the scene. According to police, detectives believe the vehicle that struck Velasquez is a silver 2013 to 2015 Nissan Rogue, which sustained damage to the front passenger side during the crash.
